Vincent Besnard was born in Lille in 1961 and his passion for nature led him to pursue studies in agronomy. He has
lived and worked in Mexico, Ivory Coast, Canada, Italy and Great Britain while in 2001 he moved to Greece. His
professional obligations often took him to Mediterranean countries and south-eastern Europe where he has been
admiring diverse rural and coastal landscapes.
And it is precisely the colors and impressions of these landscapes that inspire him most to bring them to his
paintings.
Although Vincent’s father and grandfather were both painting, he only started painting affected by the
entrenchment of the crisis in Greece. Through painting Vincent wishes to reshape reality and offer on his canvas a
surface of positive energy that will generate a daily life full of color and hope.
His works were exhibited for the first time in Greece at Folia (Nea Erythrea) participating in a charity project for an
association in charge of people with autism in Greece. He then exhibited his works in Athens at the Art Estate, the
Tsichritzis Foundation of Visual Arts (Kifissia) and The Blender Gallery (Glyfada) for charity.
Passing through France at the end of 2018, he exhibits his works there for the first time under the theme “Suns of
the Aegean” in order to share with the citizens of Versailles the light of the rising suns over the coasts of the
Aegean.
Back in Greece, under the same theme, he will be welcomed by the House of Chesterfields (Kifissia) where
classicism and beauty of the furniture follow in harmony the dynamic strokes of color of the artist.
In 2021, thanks to a beautifully unexpected encounter with Vassiliki, an appointment is made to exhibit in Nafplio
at the Vasiliki Galerie d’Art. To exhibit works that spring from enthusiasm in front of the Sea, in front of a Sea of
Beauties!

Ο Vincent Besnard γεννήθηκε στη Lille της Βόρειας Γαλλίας, το 1961, και η αγάπη του για τη φύση τον ώθησε να
σπουδάσει Γεωπονία. Έζησε και εργάστηκε στο Μεξικό, την Ακτή Ελεφαντοστού, τον Καναδά, την Ιταλία και τη
Μεγάλη Βρετανία.
Το 2001 εγκαταστάθηκε στην Ελλάδα ενώ οι επαγγελματικές υποχρεώσεις του τον φέρνουν σε συνεχή επαφή με
τις χώρες της Μεσογείου και την νοτιο-ανατολική Ευρώπη.
Μαγεύεται από την ποικιλομορφία των τοπίων της υπαίθρου και της θάλασσας. Και είναι ακριβώς τα χρώματα
και οι εικόνες αυτών των τοπίων που γίνονται η έμπνευσή του, έμπνευση που αποζητά να αποτυπωθεί στον
καμβά.
Ο πατέρας και ο παππούς του ζωγράφιζαν αλλά ο ίδιος ξεκίνησε να ζωγραφίζει σχετικά πρόσφατα, κατά τη
διάρκεια της οικονομικής κρίσης στη χώρα, ως αντίδοτο στη δύσκολη συγκυρία. Μέσα από την ζωγραφική ο
Βίνσεντ θέλει να δημιουργήσει μια άλλη πραγματικότητα, μετατρέποντας τον καμβά σε επιφάνεια γεμάτη θετική
ενέργεια που δίνει χρώμα και ελπίδα στην καθημερινότητα.
Τα έργα του εκτέθηκαν για πρώτη φορά στην Ελλάδα στη Φωλιά (Ν. Ερυθραία) συμμετέχοντας σε φιλανθρωπική
δράση ιδρύματος για άτομα με αυτισμό στην Ελλάδα. Αργότερα εξέθεσε τα έργα του στο Ίδρυμα Εικαστικών
Τεχνών Τσιχριτζή (Κηφισιά) και στη The Blender Gallery για φιλανθρωπικό σκοπό.
Ταξιδεύοντας στη Γαλλία, στα τέλη του 2018, εκθέτει τα έργα του για πρώτη φορά εκεί. Για την έκθεση επελέγη ο
τίτλος “Suns of the Aegean” προκειμένου ο Βίνσεντ να μοιραστεί με τους κατοίκους των Βερσαλλιών το φως του
ήλιου που ανατέλλει πάνω από τις ακτές του Αιγαίου.
Επιστρέφοντας στην Ελλάδα, το House of Chesterfields (Κηφισιά) καλωσορίζει την ίδια έκθεση, σε έναν χώρο που
αναδεικνύει τις πινελιές γεμάτες χρώμα και δυναμική του ζωγράφου.
Το 2021, χάρη σε μία αναπάντεχα ευχάριστη συνάντηση με την Βασιλική, δρομολογείται η έκθεση στο Ναύπλιο,
στη Vasiliki Galerie d’Art. Για να εκθέσει έργα γεμάτα από τον ενθουσιασμό μπροστά στη Θάλασσα, μπροστά σε
Μια Θάλασσα Ομορφιές!

Vincent Besnard est né à Lille en 1961. Sa passion pour la nature l’a poussé à poursuivre des études d’agronomie. Il
a vécu et travaillé au Mexique, en Côte d’Ivoire, au Canada, en Italie et en Grande Bretagne.
En 2001, il s’est installé en Grèce. Ses obligations professionnelles l’obligent à voyager souvent dans les pays
méditerranéens et de l’Europe du sud-est où il est confronté à des paysages ruraux et côtiers très variés.
Ce sont justement les couleurs et les impressions de ces paysages qui représentent la source principale
d’inspiration de ses tableaux.
Malgré le fait que son père et son grand-père étaient tous les deux peintres, lui-même n’a commencé que
récemment à peindre et cela en réaction à l’enracinement de la crise en Grèce. Au travers de la peinture, il
souhaite remodeler la réalité et proposer sur son canevas une surface d’énergie positive qui va générer un
quotidien plein de couleurs et d’espoir.
Ses œuvres ont été exposées pour la première fois chez Folia à Nea Erythréa (Grèce) dans le cadre d’une action
caritative pour une association en charge de personnes avec autisme en Grèce. Il a ensuite exposé ses œuvres à
Athènes à “Art Estate”, à la Fondation Tsichritzis, et à “The Blenders” au profit d’associations caritatives.
De passage en France fin 2018, il y exposera pour la première fois ses œuvres sous le thème : Soleils d’Egée afin de
nous faire partager en cette citée du «Roi Soleil» les soleils levants de l’Europe Orientale et des cotes de la mer
Egée.
De retour en Grèce, sous le même thème, il sera accueilli par House of Chesterfields ou classicisme et beauté du
mobilier s’associent a la dynamique de l’artiste.
En 2021, à la faveur d’une belle rencontre inattendue avec Vassiliki, rendez-vous est pris pour exposer à Nauplie
chez Vasiliki Galerie d'Art afin d’y montrer des œuvres qui jaillissent de l'enthousiasme face à la Mer, face à une
Mer de Beautés !
